Nat Geo approached us with the idea of doing this :30 promo as a stop-motion paper craft piece. It was immediately recognized the schedule would not allow for stop-motion animation. The promo was done all CG emulating a paper craft look.
The title of the show reflects the contrasts between the high I.Q. and redneck ways of these born and bred Alabama NASA scientists.
